Halifax Solar, a 5 MWac ground mounted solar array located in Halifax, MA, was commissioned on December 19, 2019. The project, which is qualified as a CGSU under the Massachusetts SMART program, began delivering power to the National Grid utility distribution grid. The system will also be delivering bill credits to community solar subscribers who are National Grid customers (commercial and residential) located throughout the Commonwealth.
The Halifax Solar project is the fifth and largest ground mounted solar array managed by Essex Capital Partners and its first in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
